Salon des Wunder Gym
Throughout the pandemic, ongoing lockdowns impacted a great number of planned exhibitions, however the Wunder Gym continued to deliver its programming online.
Wyndham City Arts & Cultural team were proud partners with Wunder Gym’s creative mentor program to extend opportunities for practicing artists in our community. Salon des Wunder Gym comprises of artworks created and presented virtually in exhibitions held during the last two years of the pandemic, 2020 - 2021. Creativity prevailed as a coping mechanism. This Salon exhibition is a celebration of resilience, bringing together the work of local creatives to greater audiences, cultivating further critical notice and accessibility.
The exhibition includes artwork responses prompted, inspired and mentored by eminent establishes artists, creative and critical thinkers, including: Dr Catherine Bell; Dr Lucreccia Quintanilla; Dr Barry York; Sue Maslin; Fatima Measham and Dr Cameron Bishop; Kait James; Diane Singer; The Huxleys; Yvette Coppersmith; and Tai Snaith.
